Clodagh McCarthy
Clodagh is a graduate of Limerick Institute of Technology where she obtained a first class honours degree in Law & Taxation during which time her chosen focus was Law. She was awarded the Howarth Bastow Charleton Award of Excellence based on her overall performance across the programme.
She went on to complete her Masters in the University of Limerick in Human Rights and Criminal Justice, completing a thesis entitled “Deaths in Garda Custody”.
Thereafter she completed the Law Society Professional Practice Courses at Blackhall Place, Dublin.
She was added to the Roll of Solicitors in January 2018 having completed her training here with our firm.
She has experience in all areas of Criminal defence litigation, plaintiff personal injuries litigation and employment defence litigation. She also has experience in dealing with discrimination and defamation litigation matters.
She has extensive experience in areas including, District Court Appeals, Circuit and Central Criminal Court trials, The Special Criminal Court, The Court of Criminal Appeal and the Supreme Court.
She also has experience in Garda Station detentions and advising clients in custody, Judicial Review and Habeas Corpus applications.
